A 40km trail from river lodge to beach house, through nature and marine reserves, over and under mountains, wading through secluded river systems on private land. It’s all part of the adventure. If you ready for something a little different come and explore this wilderness with us.
Doug and I will be hosting and guiding you on this wonderful experience, a real treat for us to spend time with like minded people.
This trip starts on a Monday at Elgin River Lodge. The second night is at the Koegelberg Eco Cabins, where we have exclusive use of the camp, and there is no cell phone reception there. Then we walk to Meerensee, where we transfer back to Elgin River Lodge for the last night.
Just arrive, park your car, pack away your keys and start the beautiful unwind from day to day living and get ready for a little ‘me time’. The Trail from Elgin River Lodge to Meerensee is around 40km long, it’s a proper adventure.
The below itinerary is the bones of the memories we will create. Having done this so often I absolutely understand that the journey always deviates so the below is just a guide to help bring us back on course when we start too meander.
